RECORDING WITH E-BEAM

электронно-лучевая литография The holograms are manufactured by our shareholder the First Print Yard Holographics Ltd., Moscow.

The production process of hologram manufacturing could be divided in two stages as follows:
  • manufacturing the hologram origination master piece;
  • hologram mass production as holographic stickers, hot stamping foil, or laminates.

HOLOGRAM ORIGINATION

Most of the security features of holographic products are formed at the origination stage.

There are three most popular origination technologies at present.
  • Optical (laser) image recording.
  • Dot-matrix technology. Laser technology with computer control.
  • E-beam technology. Image recording with the beam of electrons.

E-BEAM TECHNOLOGY
e-beam ebeamматрицирование
The technology is based on etching of specified nano relief with electronic beam, which could be focused in a few nanometers spot size. Calculation of nano relief parameters is a solution of inverse problem against synthesizing of image in the optical wavelength range. It makes the e-beam technology a purely digital in nature.

Digital e-beam technology takes special place among the other hologram recording technologies because of the following reasons:
  • the e-beam technology resolution is two order of magnitude higher than resolution of optical recording systems;
  • it is possible to fit micro and nano texts, high resolution elements and other unattainable for optical recording features into the hologram at the stage of origination;
  • the e-beam lithography equipment is a high tech and expensive ones. It requires substantial intellectual investments. That is why the number of holographic companies in the world who are capable to produce up-to-date e-beam originals is limited. Their reputation is too high to reproduce other’s works, otherwise they will be discredited forever.
These and other specific features are included in our company products.

HOLOGRAM MASS PRODUCTION

The hologram is mainly produced in three forms, as it is follows:

Holographic hot stamping foil. HSF is pressed to a paper, plastic, etc. with special press for hot stamping. This holographic mark is not detachable.

Holographic sticker. Such products are manufactured on a self adhesive underlayer and applied on a product to be protected by hand or with the help of a special applicators. The holographic stickers could be manufactured out of destructable at attempt of unsticking materials. The tamper-proof feature could be arranged with incisions on a sticker as well.

Holographic transparent film for laminating. Such films are produced as for hot, as for cold laminating process. They could be in the form of a specified geometry sheets and in the form of pouches. As a rule they are used to laminate existing, e.g. printed image.

When the hologram original as a nano-relief had been created on a photoresist layer, it is coated by the silver current conducting layer with the thickness of 2-3 microns, then it is coated galvanically by nickel plating with the thickness of 150-200 microns. The obtained product with a nano-relief is an original for multiplication of one hologram image to many on a reference printing form named a master-matrix. And then the master-matrix is used as an original for manufacturing of a working matrix which works directly in production process of the holography items.

To increase the number of securities, which are visible with a naked eye, the holographically authorized sign could be complicated with not only through the kind of the holographic effect, but through demetallization zones as well, which created by removing of reflection layer in spots as in manufacturing a graphic stencil.
